NFL Raider, Usama Young Host His 6th Annual Football & Cheer Camp at Home
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARLBORO, MD – June 5, 2014 – Approaching his 8th NFL season, Usama Young continues to be an asset on the field as well as in the community. Young and his Youth Foundation are proud to announce they are hosting their annual football and cheer camp at Largo High School on Saturday, June 28 from 9am-2pm, free of costs for the 6th year in a row.
The youth camp is limited to the first 250 pre registrants online. Cheer campers ages 9-17 and football campers 12-17 are qualified to sign up. The camp day itinerary includes fundamental stations, ‘Chalk Talk/Girl Talk’ which focuses on numerous life lessons, snack time, a football tournament, and a routine cheer performance. Campers will keep hydrated with Body Armor Super Drink (www.drinkbodyarmor.com) throughout the day.
Young is extremely passionate about giving back to the community and is actively hands on with his Youth Foundation, which was founded in 2009. The Usama Young Youth Foundation focuses on guiding the youth to make the most out of their potential. UYYF is actively seeking sponsors, donations and volunteers to maximize the impact to benefit the experience.
Along with the camp hosted by the UYYF on Saturday June 28th, Usama will volunteer at the Capitol Area Food Bank’s Northeast Washington food distribution center Friday June 27th, and is partnering with the ‘Dreams for Kids DC’ organization Sunday, June 29th to host a football clinic for kids.
About Usama Young
Usama Young, born May 8, 1985, in Washington D.C, is currently a defensive back for the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League. He was drafted to the New Orlean Saints in 2007 and was there until 2010. Young went to the Cleveland Browns in 2011, prior to signing with the Oakland Raiders in 2013. He played college football at Kent State University in Ohio. Young is a driven individual who thrives on giving back to the community.
